成人抖阴 Honors New Mexico Attorneys, Law Firms, and Court Committee for Pro Bono Service
ALBUQUERQUE, NM 鈥 The 成人抖阴 (LSC) Board of Directors will present Pro Bono Service Awards on October 17 to New Mexico attorneys, law firms, and a court committee in recognition of their extraordinary commitment to equal justice.
The LSC Pro Bono Service Award Reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the University of New Mexico School of Law at 1117 Stanford Drive NE. The awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the LSC Board of Directors鈥 fourth quarterly meeting of the year.
Speakers at the event include New Mexico Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles W. Daniels and University of New Mexico School of Law Dean Alfred D. Mathewson. They will be joined by J. Brent Moore, President of the State Bar of New Mexico and a shareholder with Montgomery & Andrews Law Firm.
Recipients of the Pro Bono Service Awards are:
- Antony Aguirre, an attorney based in Bernalillo who has volunteered with New Mexico Legal Aid鈥檚 Native American Program for the last two and a half years, representing clients with unemployment cases and at administrative hearings.
- Holland & Hart LLP, a law firm with an office in Santa Fe. Attorneys at the firm have volunteered with New Mexico Legal Aid鈥檚 civil legal clinics and taken on numerous pro bono clients.
- New Mexico 9th Judicial District Court Pro Bono Committee, which has helped nearly 400 low-income individuals receive free legal consultations through the committee鈥檚 annual 鈥淎sk-A-Lawyer鈥 event.
- Susan Page, an attorney who has been an important leader of New Mexico鈥檚 Volunteer Attorney Program and frequently takes cases from the state鈥檚 high-poverty rural communities.
- Pregenzer, Baysinger, Wideman & Sale, a law firm that has handled many pro bono cases for New Mexico Legal Aid since the firm鈥檚 creation in 2008.
