Her dedication to welfare rights, demonstrated through marches, protests, and board memberships, highlights her commitment to empowering marginalized communities. Despite facing challenges and arrests, Berrien's resolve remains unyielding, as she continues to champion the rights of welfare recipients and low-income individuals.
